Welcome! to MAFS: Metropolitan Asian Family Services

It gives me an immense pleasure to present MAFS's annual report for 2011-12. Historically speaking, MAFS owes its existence to Universal Industries, a Chicago based business, which applied for Home Care Services, and its operation was given to Universal Metro Asian Services

MAFS was formed to deliver all other social service programs and it has come a long way in serving community with various well esteem programs. It was incorporated as a not-for-profit Tax-Exempt 501(3) multi-cultural organization in 1993 with a mission to provide comprehensive and integrated services to immigrant population of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lankan and East European communities facing linguistic and cultural barriers. MAFS is a multi-cultural and multi ethnic organization and has, at its core, a commitment to educate, counsel and assist and empower immigrants to become productive member of American Society.

Starting from Des Plaines office in 1992, our agency has now expanded its services to eight fully equipped senior centers strategically located in Chicago, Niles/Desplaines, Roselle/Schaumburg, Carol Stream, Naperville, and most recently opened centers in Algonquin and Vernon Hills. These centers are accessible to the targeted population currently serving 91 cities and neighborhoods over eight counties of Cook, Suburban Cook, Lake, DuPage, McHenry, Kane, Orland Park, Kendall and Will in the greater Chicagoland
